The partnership between Purple Patch and Precision Hydration has emerged incrementally, and was born out of a shared desire to drive the performance of athletes and fitness enthusiasts by empowering them through education.
The relationship began with Matt Dixon asking Precision Hydration founder, Andy Blow, to help support various members of the Purple Patch Pro Squad. The Precision Hydration team began working with Purple Patch athletes around the world and the opening of the Purple Patch Fitness Center provided a natural and obvious opportunity to join forces and form a closer relationship.
We are incredibly excited to partner with PH and it's been great to have Andy pass on his knowledge while providing personal education and training for the Purple Patch physiologists and staff.

“I was initially taken aback (in a very positive way) when Purple Patch founder Matt first got in touch with me to ask for some input on the hydration and nutrition plans of a couple of his high performing pro athletes. Matt's reputation as a world-class coach preceded him and since those early interactions, it's been a very rewarding experience for us to work closely with him, his extended team and a wider range of Purple Patch athletes. The integration of PH Sweat Testing and education in the new Purple Patch Performance Center feels like a logical next step for all of us and we're excited to see the collaboration develop further.”

A “one-size-fits-all” approach to hydration doesn’t work.
Maintaining the sodium levels in your blood is crucial to performing at your best. Everyone loses a different amount of sodium in their sweat, with up to 10-fold between seemingly similar individuals, which is largely genetically determined.
Sodium helps you absorb and retain fluid, which keeps your blood volume up, reducing cardiovascular strain, fatigue, and it can also help you avoid cramping up. Drinking plain water when sweating over long periods dilutes your sodium levels, which will negatively impact your performance
We offer a personalized hydration plan and a mix of products that meet your individual needs.
The Precision Hydration Advanced Sweat Test takes about 45 minutes and all you have to do is sit comfortably while we talk to you about how you train and compete.
The test is simple, painless, and extremely accurate. Following the test we will offer a personalized hydration plan tailored to what you're training for and we recommend different strengths of electrolytes based on your individual needs and events.
Personalized hydration planning is not just for extreme endurance athletes. Whether a runner, triathlete, soccer player or a fitness enthusiast, a personalized hydration plan is an important part of optimal performance.
